Who We Are

RadhaGobind Temple Devasthanam was established in the year 1954 and registered under Societies of Registration Act 1860.. Keeping in view the aims of National Education Policy to provide education of a comparable quality upto a given level and National objectives, the RadhaGovind Temple Devasthanam established‘ RGT PUBLIC VIDYALAYA ‘ in the year 2009 in its campus. It is a co-educational English Medium School recognized by the Department of Education, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and runs on no profit- no loss basis.

Our Aim

The school shows remarkable commitments to groom the child to be mentally, emotionally and physically fit. It aims to provide quality education with affordable cost to the students to excel in his or her chosen field and face global challenges.School is committed to make the RGT Public Vidyalaya one of the ADARSH (model) schools in the city and to produce quality citizens with strong moral background who will be assets to the Islands and the country.

Our Targets

To up-grade the school from its present Secondary Stage of Education (Nursery to Class X) to Senior Secondary Stage (Classes XI & XII- Science, Commerce and Vocational subjects) by 2022-2023 and to get its affiliation upgraded up to Senior Secondary level with Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

Objectives

Ensure right to Self-Education to every child aided by qualified and dedicated teachers.

A disciplined life with a spiritual base co-existed with contemporary knowledge.

To provide proper environment to every child to bloom into a total human being.

Free Education to 25% children belonging to weaker section and disadvantaged group as per RTE Act. 2009.

Our Infrastructure

The RGT Devasthanam owns 4.63 Hects. of land allotted by the Government out of which 1Hect. of land has been earmarked for the Educational activities. Presently we have 13 Class Rooms, one Science Lab, one Computer-cum-Smart Class, One Library, One Staff Room, an Office room and a well equipped activity auditorium of 250 capacities. There is a 1500 Sq.Mtrs. Play Field to conduct various sports and other outdoor activities.
